Convoy for shujaa team from the airport.

Team Shujaa made it in the finals of IRB series in Singapore. The team had many challenges compared to the majority of teams. The team secured a fourth position in the last last semi-finals. The team went ahead this year and got the Rugby World cup of 30-7 against Fiji. The player was given two hundred thousand each from their sponsors Kenya airways and Nairobi Senator Hon. Mike Sonko.

Coach of the rugby team Benjamin  Anyimba said that it took them around three weeks with thorough practice because they wanted to pass the target they had the last year 2015. There were more challenges  than expected due to lack of funds.
Some of the challenges were the lack of funds from the Government. The funds that the government provides towards sports is not enough to do sports in the whole country. The government through sports cabinet secretary Dr. Hassan Wario said that next year budget will be different (2016-2017). The majority of the teams do not make it due to lack of proper structures and strategies.

Hon mike sonko promise 100000 each player.
It took patriotism to have such an amazing return. The team had been in financial crisis for the past five months as their sponsors were real making big losses at Kenya airways. Players went home with nothing for five good months and now they brought the rugby IRB world cup home. It is really amazing and something to encourage the youth in Kenya in terms of sports. Now they are looking forward to more cups are this year they are three major cups to win. President Uhuru Kenyatta invited them in the state for thanksgiving and hope to have more financial support in the team.
Rugby on action
This comes after the ladies volleyball team went to finals and came back home with triumphant. It has been seen that most of the teams do good except our mighty Harambee stars team. Harambee Starlet for ladies won the majority of their international matches and now looking forward to having many more cups. In athletics, everything is on the right track as the majority of our athlete makes Kenya proud every time they go for competitions. It a challenge for the football federation and the ministry to work hard to nurture talents that will take the country forward in terms of sports. We have secondary schools games and primary school games and this is where we get the talents. The ministry should now move to the lower level to get real talents which will take the sports far away from other countries in the east Africa.
