Leicester player Wilfred Ndindi is a January transfer target for Arsenal, according to outlandish reports in the midfielder's homeland.

Nigerian outlet Football Live reckon the Gunners are willing to offer £40million plus Granit Xhaka to sign Ndidi. Although it is highly unlikely second-placed Leicester would be willing to sell the 23-year-old, who joined from Genk in 2017.

He is contracted to the King Power side until 2024 and has been one of many standout performers under Brendan Rodgers this season.

His tally of 72 tackles in the Premier League this season places him second across the entire division – only behind team-mate Ricardo Pereira. Xhaka, meanwhile, is wanted out of Arsenal by many fans after his astonishing rant at the supporters when he was subbed off against Crystal Palace in October.
